PLEASE!! Button Storage Suggestions-PLEASE!!

Good Afternoon Every1,

I hope that all is well with you & your families. I am doing good. I am making my 4 year old son pjs for Christmas. I had to buy buttons for the outfits. I have not been a "Big" Button Collector up to this point. So I need ideas on how to store them in my sewing room. Any help, suggestions, pics, & ideas are GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Please & Thank you so very much for your help.

Have a blessed day.

Istore all my buttons by color in either bouilon cube jars or baby food jars. They stack easily and you can see exactly what you have.

I use the little craft bags that close and sort according to color. I still have a big container of all kinds of buttons and I go through them sometimes to see what I might need. I don't use that many buttons any more and should try to get rid of a few.

I string all my buttons together by color and matching designs. Then I put them in jars.
So if I have 10 white buttons with the same design I string them together and throw in my jars.

String them together so you have all the same together. Them you can put them in a big jar and enjoy the colors,

I was lucky! my hubby got lots of the clear plastic containers at work free; the ones with small divided spaces you can adjust that have lids that flip open and lock down tite. They work great and you can see all the colors.

I have a huge metal rectangular bin with a tight fitting lid that I store mine in. They are not sorted and I just dump it out when I'm looking for something. My sister got me the tin full of shortbread cookies many Christmas's ago. I do have a smaller metal biscuit tim full of tiny buttons too. Some people like to put them in old fashioned glass sealers and display them too.

I have some very old hand blown chemical jars, found empty at an old gold mine, some still have the labels on them, I store my buttons by color and use cork plugs for tops.
