Isn't it wonderful repurposing things? A little paint and creativity and that cabinet has a new life now. Love it!

Great job! I would LOVE to do that.

I like repurposing items. We do this with fabric, trying to figure out what to recycle it into, a dress, a quilt etc.

Looks great. I have a similar set-up, only with open shelves below. It sits against the wall, but on carpet sliders so I can pull it away from the wall for pressing larger pieces of fabric.. I love having all that extra storage beneath the ironing board, plus it's so much more stable than a traditional folding board.

Instead of stapling the outer fabric to the board, just staple the padding but make a "pillowcase" for it and when it gets dirty either easily wash or replace.
Thanks for sharing your great idea. |

This is what I did. It makes it so much easier to be able to slide off the dirty, starchy "pillowcase" and throw it in the washer. I can't imagine how to clean it otherwise, except to have to unstaple it so often. |
looks great-someday I need to make a bigger top for my ironing board.

Ah, what a cool looking cabinet! I really like that.

I love it. do you still, by chance have the cutting board that goes into that slot? If so, it would be a great thing to have when you need extra table space.

It looks great! Will be very useful and pretty at the same time.
