Sewing Room Make over
7 Attachment(s)
We just finished redoing my sewing room. The walls use to be unpainted knotty pine which was so dark and dreary. They are now a nice calming misty surf which is a blue/green. I love it. I still need to finish decorating the walls as it looks so bare. All of my fabric is still in the closet nice and neat as it was redone several months ago. I finished binding two quilts last evening and enjoyed every minute sitting at the machine. The pictures with the dark wall is before redo and the blue is the after. Hope you like it.

Looks great.

I love the change. Our bedroom is a similar color..just alittle lighter, but so calming. Enjoy!
The present room looks so calming that you just wnat to stay in there and sew!!!
Very nice and so organized!... So happy for you, ENJOY!
Beautiful job - love the new paint color.
Lovely place to work. Enjoy.

Gorgeous. i love the calming relazing feel it has. I am jealous of the quilting machine. I can't afford one. all of my money is going into the new studio my husband and i are building as a room addition. My new room will have room to display my antique quilt collection, so my room will be very shabby chic.

What a great change!
what a great room-love the lighter color.enjoy
What a wonderful space you have created for sewing! Love the blue.
For the cost of paint, you get a wealth of beauty and enjoyment. Blue is my favorite color.
Like the blue color. And your arrangement of room. I painted mine a pretty blue too.
Goodness, look like you could go professional - so many machines and a long arm too!
Loos good. So nice and organized.
Great room. Never thought of using CD rack for fat storage. I am snagging that idea. thanks
amzing what a coat of paint will do. I love the color, it feels so peaceful. Good job.
Oh so nice! I can't wait to get my frame "fully" set up so I can do something bigger than a twin. Enjoy your "new space"!
Beautiful place to create and soooo organized...I love it!
Love your room. I have the same knotty pine walls in my basement and on a porch. Would love to paint over it but my husband is horrified at the idea. What is it about men and painting over wood? lol

Huge improvement with the light blue/green walls. Very nice sewing room. Your are so lucky!
Which make and model is your sewing cabinet. I am in the market for one. How do you like it? Is it vibration free? |
For years my hubby said no to the paint. Finally I just quit asking and went to Lowes and bought the paint as we were putting down new flooring it was the perfect time. Some of our friends came over for a painting weekend. Later hubby came in and said "I really like this color. Makes the room so light. I think I will make it my man cave". Boy did he get the dirty look!!!! Now almost every day he says "I sure am glad that I wanted to paint the room, It looks so much better". MEN......

It is a Horn Cabinet I believe. I love it. The front of the cabinet comes up and makes a great top for working on your quilts. I really like the air lift for the machine.

Kacy, what is the make & model of your long arm? Love your whole room. Boy it is a 180 degree change with the paint. Aren't you lucky your DH decided to get it painted? LOL. Men!!!

I love your sewing room. I would give almost anything to have a room like that. I envy your room, not to take from you, but to have a room like that.
QandE it is a Babylock Crown Jewell on the Grace Majestic frame. It is set up for 10'. I bought Ms. Kate last May so she is 10 months old....The Crown Jewell is made by Handiquilter and is the twin to the Avante. I am really happy with her and have fun quilting with her.

Very nice...but I even like the knotty pine. It brings back memories of my childhood home. My dad
