Sewing room redo
6 Attachment(s)
I wanted to separate my sewing and my computing areas in my room. Previously they shared and L-shaped desk. Also to lower the height of my sewing machine table to ease the strain in my shoulders.
My son suggested we go to IKEA. bought two tables. He and my grandson put the tables together. Then my son cut the hole for my machine in one table; put a shelf under it to hold my sewing machine. He put casters on the other table to raise it for cutting. Now they sit so the cutting table can hold a quilt when it is on the machine. And it can be rolled out for moving around when cutting. I'm so happy. |

Oho, that is very clever! I see he drilled a hole for your knee lift. I'll have to remember that one. Ikea is such a great place for affordable furniture, and you sure put these pieces to good use. Now, if Ikea was smart, they would start offering sewing tables.
Enjoy your new room! |
Oh, I wanted to comment on the paintings. They are lovely!! I like the clothesline especially. Did you paint them yourself?
|
wow, that's fantastic. you are deff blessed to have someone who has the skill and talent to do that for you. Enjoy. :)

Looks like that was the ticket. How nice to have such handy son.

Great son. I love your new sewing set-up. Looks like it makes it easy for you to get to now. Think I might need to show it to my dh. Thanks for sharing.
