GEMRM, how do you like that circle cutter? Do you use it enough to make it worth the price?

Not understanding the idea with the Command Strips... pictures please?
Looking for ways to hang my rulers too.

Hi SuzzyQ - I believe the command strips discussed above are actually wire hooks made by the company who does command strips (and using the same sticking 'style'/technology so you can remove them cleanly if needed).

I use them too, they're brilliant. I'll try to attach a couple of photos, of the hooks themselves and also 'in action' on the back of a cupboard door

My husband made me a ruler shelf. It’s just a basic shelf that he cut slots in along the length and added hooks below the shelf.

I can store over 20 rulers in the slots and I hang my scissors, rotary cutters and small Trash basket on the hooks. The whole thing is mounted over my cutting table so everything is easily accessible.

(For some reason the pictures are sideways and I’m not sure how to fix them)

Looks like a great set up gax000 https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png

(also, your pictures turned themselves the right way up when I clicked on them)

Great idea, gax! We are looking at moving in a couple of years, maybe building. If so, I get to design my own studio so I'm collecting ideas. Currently I'm squished into an 8x8 bedroom.

I love the belt circle idea! I have very little room, so my rulers are hanging on the wall, on nails. I want to change to cup hooks, because if I open the nearby window, sometimes the rulers take flight and come off the wall.

Lawsonmugs, Yes, my husband used some of my old wooden spools with thread and a couple thimbles to use as door handles for the cabinets we hung in my sewing room. He painted clear acrylic over the thread on the spool so it would not come loose. I wish I had enough of the wooden spools to use because the thimbles are more difficult to grip to open the cabinet. He is a great hubby!

I love that idea so cute...may I ask how he attached them to the doors?

Love the command hooks but the one drawback is over time they need new tape-not that big of a deal until stuff comes crashing down :(

I've used peg board for years to hang my sewing tools. There are a lot of cool little hooks and even some small containers to keep things in on the board. i have my rulers, measuring tape, patterns weights, some drawing curves and scissors hanging on them. It keeps them organized and out of the way.
