So happy for you! Your plan sounds great as is!
|
Electrical outlets are usually a few inches from the floor in the middle of the wall. Does not work for me. My current house has the outlets the usual inches from the floor but a foot or two in from the corners. So each wall has two outlets. In my sewing room, one wall has four outlets. I like the idea of outlets higher up on the walls. No tripping over cords.

I hope you consider the outlets next to the switches by each door. So handy.
And the outlets in which the top plug is always live and the bottom plug will go off with a switch. |

Instead of duplex electrical outlets, install quadplex electrical outlets. Have plenty of circuits!

When you think you have enough outlets put a few more in. I thought I had
plenty but wish I had a few more. Think it through and then enjoy! |
Wow! This is going to be beautiful. You didn't ask this, but I would plan now where you are going to put a design wall and peg board.

I wish I had a laundry chute, could pull baskets up and down with a line and a pulley. I have trouble with stairs and lots of trips needed. Attic sewing room with knee walls. Want to build shelves on platform that pulls out and can put extra storage behind. Shelves would be only up to 3' high to fit. Would not have to crawl to retrieve stuff. Have apple boxes now, cut half high and fit 9-10\ , in each cubby( 18 inches wide). Fabric is folded book size so can see when open box.

I would say to put in an outlet every three feet or so. If you don't use them, you can ignore them.
Depending on the way you travel through your space, you might consider a couple of two-way switches for some of the lights. |
