Default Bobbin and spool storage- ice cube trays!

I saw these at Walmart for $3.97 and wondered if they would work for storing bobbins and large spools. I am forever chasing bouncing bobbins and wanted something to keep them close by. These silicone ice cube trays do the trick! And they grip the surface of the table too!

Very clever! Do you think the spools would stay in if you were to hang the tray up on the wall?

I use the paper egg cartons to store small items. These fit perfectly into the treadle machine drawers. And they are FREE.

Great idea. These would work for my embroidery thread. Most designs have more than a few colors, and this would keep them together...could also put them in the tray according to stitching order. I'm going to try it!

I have 2 of the wooden peg thread holders. I have them hanging on the side of a cabinet and have stapled a flap of clear vinyl to the top edge. This works as a dust barrier and yet I can see all the threads. I keep the matching bobbin on the peg with the thread.
