I also have recovered tray but now my 5 yr old great grand is using it for her little featherweight she is using to learn to sew then goes back to ironing table

Looking good. I keep the plastic quart mayo jars to store things in...don't have to be as careful with the plastic ones.

Great ideas---one suggestion. If you are using a wood tv tray, before you put the batting and fabric on top, get some of the silver heat resistant fabric for ironing boards and put it on the tray first---otherwise, the steam and heat from the iron will warp the wood. Learned the hard way.
