One of my other favorite quilt sites is quiltinggallery.com. On there, I found one quilt shop called Virka in Reykjavik at 49 and turn rt on Rettarholtsvegur. Have a good journey and be safe.

The temperature is warmest then. The little pink & purple flowers are blooming in the moss that covers the lava fields. The waterfall are magnificent, as the glaciers have been melting all summer. Long hours of sunshine. The country is small and you can get to almost anywhere in a day or less. Too many specific things for me to recommend seeing, but I'd put Thingvellur near the top of my list. Enjoy yourself!
Thank you for this information. I know it's crazy, but in the back of my mind, I've been thinking it would be wonderful to retire there - but transporting my stash and pups pose a hurdle that no doubt could be overcome with ingenuity. Is their electricity compatible with US electrical devices?

This sounds wonderful and you deserve it so much! Not only did you deal with the aftermath of Sandy but you stepped forward to help so any others. I hope you have a great and relaxing time!

I think I might just email the guild and see what happens.
