Your hostesses for this event: Tinker (Shirley) and DoghouseMom (Sue) Invite everyone to attend this Illinois Meet and Greet!!
WOW!!! Come one - come all to a Meet and Greet in North Central Illinois!!! We have a top notch LQS, lunch (dutch), and a Farm Market on the agenda for the day!!
Date: Saturday June 25
Time: 10:00 AM start at the quilt shop
Place 1: The Quilters Garden in Princeton IL
Place 2: Kramer's Kitchen for lunch following the quilt shop
Place 3: A Hundred Acre Farm Orchard & Market
We will meet at "The Quilters Garden" in Princeton Il. This LQS has a large selection of top quaility quilting fabric and a wonderful selection of Yarns. They also boast a retreat center and our LQS hostess Beth will be glad to show us around. The shop is conveniently located a short distance off Interstate I80 on the main street so should be easy to find. Parking is on the Main stree but Beth (LQS owner) also said that we can park behind her shop if space on Main cannot be found. Below is a link to this wonderful shop that prides themselves on being the friendliest of shops. Beth was thrilled to hear that we would be honoring her shop!! See directions to shop at bottom of post.

After we are shopped out we can stroll about 1 block down Main street to Kramer's Kitchen for casual fare of sandwiches and salads. Kramer's has a room downstairs in the event that there are a lot of us. Kramer's was recommended by Beth at the LQS for the possibility of a large gathering combined with good food and a friendly staff.
If anyone is still game for a bit of a different kind of shopping, and we're not tired of each other yet ... a five minute drive can bring us to One Hundred Acre Farm where you can find selections of Wines, Cheeses, Jams, Jellies, Bakery Items - and so much more!! Below is a link to the Farm.

So everyone put this day on your calendar!! Hopefully we will get a good group of people. RSVP is not necessary, but it would be nice to get a general idea of how many of us will be going so I can give Beth and Kramer's Kitchen a heads up. Beth said that if we have a lot of people and wish to start early - she can open the shop at 9:00 AM (she's already wonderful - can't wait to meet her!!). You can either reply here, or PM either DOGHOUSEMOM or TINKER.
Hope you can come!! I look forward to meeting fellow QB members!!
Hopefully ... this will be the first of many events to come for Northern Illinois!!!
PS: I have sent PM's to addreses that I can find in search with "Illinois" in their location.
Directions to Quilters Garden: Interstate 80 to Exit #56 South (Route 26). Take Route 26 south about 2 miles - Route 26 becomes Main St once in town. You will find the quilt shop at 527 S Main - on the east side of the street. You can park on Main street if you wish, otherwise you can park in the rear of the store accessed either from Marion St (on the north) or Columbus St (on the south).

Wow, sounds like fun, but I am hosting my 3rd Meet and Greet on Friday night, June 24 in Shipshewana, IN that same weekend.
Please let me know when you have your next one and I will see if I can attend it.

I will let you know for sure. Our son is here from NC and leaves that day. If they leave early enough I can make it I will try to be there. If Ican't make it I will let you know and if so I will make another one.
Thanks for the invite, sounds like a lot of fun.

My sincere apologies to CraftyBear!!!
I am so dumb. When Tinker and I were figuring dates I knew in the back of my head that CraftyBear had a Shipshewana event coming up. I did a quick search for "shipshewana" to find out her dates so that this one wouldn't conflict, and I found one that had a shipshewana event in September - so I thought we were not going to conflict.
Well I don't know what it was, perhaps I saw a post for last year or something. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
CraftyBear - again - I'm SO SORRY I went brain dead and completely missed the dates - I DID try because we are close enough geographically to draw the same "crowd" so to speak.
Kicking self.
