August 12 - 14 Mini Quilting Retreat in Rockport Texas
#1
Anyone interested in meeting for a mini quilting retreat in Rockport, Texas. This is a beautiful town with a nice LQS. The details are listed below:
Check in - Friday, August 12, 2011 - 1 p.m. and after
Check out - Sunday, August 14, 2011 - after Noon possibly later
Cost: $92 ($46 per night) - considered their spontaneity days since it is not an organized private retreat.
Sleeping quarters - 4 single beds in each room. There are 4 rooms so it can accommodate up to 16 people easily. We would have to bring our pillows. They furnish the linen and blankets.
Meals - not included by the owner of the retreat house - we could have each room plan a meal. They have a fully stocked (utensils, serving ware, dinner ware, cutlery, etc - not food) kitchen.
It has 3 big ironing boards and irons, 3 cutting tables with mats, 5 design walls, 16 5-foot tables with each table having their own electrical outlets.
I went this weekend and had a great time. For more information on the place and town, you can visit their website at www.theretreathouse.com
I have spoken with the owner and she will open the house for a minimum of 2 people. I am one. Anyone want to meet up, quilt, get to know one another, and relax before the new school year starts.
Let me know.
