I'm visiting my son in Austin the last week of April and would love to meet some boards members and/or find out what shops I should definitely visit while I'm there.

Awww, I am going to be out of town, but I know a few ladies on this board in the area, that would probably love to meet you and shop! There are a few shops around, just google Austin quilt shops, I live in Georgetown, Poppy's is on Williams Dr., EJ's is in Taylor Tx., there are several JoAnn's and Walmarts here that carry tons of fabric, if you want to venture further north, there is a shop in Killeen called Quiltin' Country and one in Salado, The Sewing Basket. All are great! Have a wonderful time, sorry I'll miss ya, a big WELCOME to TX!! Maggie

What about "The Quilt Store" on Anderson? Is that still there? And "B & B Quilting" in Buda. Great little quilt store.

I'd be happy to meet you and anyone else in the area!
Stacy-The Quilt Store is still there. I was just there last week. Sew Much More is near it. There's also Honey Bee and I know there is another one is Leander. There are probably a few others I haven't discovered yet.

A new one in Dripping Springs called Valli and Kim. It's right on 290. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Heavens ...we could do a shop hop. How long are you going to be here?

I'm arriving on the 23rd and leaving on the 30th. I was going to try and come a day earlier and leave a day later but the rates took a big jump on those days. As it is, I managed to get a $99 rate both ways and didn't want to look that gift horse in the mouth!

I think the stores have all been listed and you'll have a blast while you are here. ENJOY

April is a very good time to visit. Weather will be nice and mild. Be sure to check out Berninia Ready to Sew on 1431 in Leander. Poppy's in Georgetown is also a keeper - just a hop, skip and jump down the road.

Enjoly your visit.
