I have been looking at places to have a weekend retreat for all of us, possibly next spring. Several of the places have a minimum number before they will make reservations, some have a maximum they can accommodate. I was wondering just how many would be interested in coming and how far you could drive.

I'm in North Miss and I would love to be included. I cannot climb stairs at all.

Terri might be interested also, as her dd is in Auburn.

That sounds like so much fun. You know others loves to travel so you might get more from other states to come to your retreat. I am also working on one for Indiana.

As our meet and greets we have had others come from other states (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, KY, New Jersey, Montana). We have lots of fun and now planning on having a retreat or just a weekend sewing event.

We are having our 2nd meet and greet in Shipshewana, Indiana next Tuesday, October 19, 2010 for shopping at local quilt shops and I reserved a room at a local restaurant for 2 hours for show and tell, demonstrations and lots of fun.

Have fun!

What a great idea! I live just outside of Phenix City, Alabama and would be willing to travel to a Spring retreat!
Count me in.

I live half way between Huntsville and Birmingham. I would love to come but would have to have enough notice to arrange off time at work. My only problem is I can't get off from now till after Christmas so you may have to do it without me. Now I'm crying. LOL

I think this sounds GREAT!! I live in Alexandria, AL. Might I suggest using Mt. Cheaha as a location?? It offers a hotel, cabins, restaurant and wonderful view. It's also convenient to I20. Late spring will be warmer because of the altitute. I've been there and it is handicapped accessible.

Let me know what you decide. :)
