Default Hexagon quilt question

Has anyone ever made a two sided quilt without the batting? I would like to make one for my king size bed for summer use.

I'm not sure if you are wanting a reversible hexagon quilt without batting, or just any quilt pattern without batting.

Yes, it can be done and is called a summer quilt. Here is a thread about it at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vbulle...t-t124602.html and I gave some links to other summer quilts at How to make a summer quilt?

J've done 4 or 5 big quilts without batting, works fine (my quilts are double sided too) and the quilting still shows.
