There are two shows in Lancaster - the AQS Show at the Convention Center and another show at the Host. Lots of eye candy etc.

I've been going to the show for years, usually staying a few days for the show, shopping and hanging out with quilting pals from several states. Unfortunely my knees can't take so much fun and running around so I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. Friday night is when our group has it's Show and Tell and I can't miss that even though I don't have much to show this year. Also plan to hit my favorite shops, Zooks and Sauders and mabye one or two more.

Didn't know that Host still had a show. I really miss the show being there, I'd view the quilts and check out all the vendors and then take the bus across the street to the "Renagade' vendors. I've heard that the show might move again as it had a commitment to the hotel in the town of Lancaster for 3 years and this is the 3rd year. If that's true I hope they choose somewhere with its own parking - paying for the jitney and parking is for the birds. I'd rather spend those dollars on fabric!

There are 3 shows this year. The big AQS show at the convention center downtown and there is a free shuttle bus between the 22nd Annual Lancaster Quilt Show at the Continental Inn and 2nd Annual Lancaster Spring Quilt Show at the Host Resort.

I'm going from Connecticut for 3 days - Fri-Sun. Looking forward to other things in the area - pretzel making company, etc. What is the other quilt show? Name, location - need to see everything possible!

I'm leaving from Ma on Tuesday. This is my first time and I'm REALLY looking forward to the show and everything else in the area. I'm staying at the Penn Marriot. Any suggestions on how to entertain my darling husband?

I live in Scranton, PA I do try to get down to the quilt shops as well some antique shows/extravaganza's a couple of times a year. We do not have any LQS in the area, only JoAnn's. Also, love Wooden Bridge in Kutztown. Hope you can make it !

Anyone who goes and is from the quilting board should put on a red ribbon to let each other know they are a board member.......good idea?

I'm going too. Going with a friend that lives in Cochranville,Pa. which is only about 1hr. away from Lancaster. Been going to it for the past 3 yrs. with her. We are both in the same quilting guild and she is on here too.
I wasn't too sure if I'd be going as I've been sick with this bug for the past two weeks but I have gotten over it. Thank Heavens. I'd be quite upset if I had to miss another quilting event.
I have so much fun going to these shows. I look forward to it .
Hope everyone has a wonderful time there and wish we could meet some of the wonderful people from the QB that is going on Thurs.

That's a good idea and maybe put a little tag that says Member of the Quilting Board.
