Next month I will be going to Ky, will be going thru Murfreesboro, TN, Franklin, TN. Does anyone know of a quilt shop in Franklin, and quilt shops around Beaver Dam/Owensboro,KY?

Franklin has a crazy full and busy quilt shop. I do not know if it was effected by the flooding, I live 5 hours North of there, but I HIGHLY recommend going there!

IF you just ask around town you will get directions, they used to be right off the town square, but I heard that they moved, and hopefully expanded. The few times I was there fabric was stacked to the ceiling and in front of each other!

You will find quilt shops located at "Land between the Lakes" as well. Make sure you have Patty's pork chops and fried dill pickles and enjoy a carriage ride while you are there.

When I'm going to be traveling I go online, click on Search and type in
Quilt stores in or around XXXXX, XX And hit enter. I usually get a whole list of them. I get my map out and highlight the towns I want to hit. Then I google the store and print out a map. Doesn't always work, Hickory Hills in Hot Springs was so hard to find and when I called for directions the lady didn't bother to tell me that they were closing in about 30 minutes. Since I was about an hour away, I didn't make it. But usually there's not a problem.

Where is Land between the Lakes? sounds interesting or I should say what is it.

Land Between the Lakes is a penninsula created by a dam. One of the lakes is Kentucky Lake, I am not sure about the other. (I was there once, years ago).

If you google Patty's 1800's Settlement I am sure you will get to see pics of the town. Here is some info on the National Park nearby. http://www.lbl.org/

Lake Barkley is the other lake.

Bowling Green would be good, won't be far from there, hope you can think of the name.

If you will be in Murfreesboro and in Franklin, what is your traveling route? I just wonder because Franklin is on I65, and Murfreesboro is on I24. I'm in Murfreesboro and just went to Franklin the other day. (non quilt related though).
Have a safe trip!
