Thanks for letting me know the distance. I live in VA and usually go to Mary Jo's from Greensboro. Just a thought.

This is a really nice store in Apex just south of Raleigh but very near the airport. I discovered it last Christmas - a friend told me about it. WOW is all I can say. It has the fabrics I like plus all the rest of the goodies. I haven
t had a chance to get back as it's about 3 hours from Mooresville (just south of Statesville off I-77) but I plan on getting there as soon as possible. I really need more fabric you know!!! As for the other stores in Raleigh - well, just haven't had a chance but have heard very good things. FYI to everyone - I rely on the Quilter's Travel Companion - and have been purchasing one for the last 10 years or so (comes out every 2 years - a new one in 2010 goes until 2012). I've already copied the pages I need when we go visit our son near Seattle so I don't have to carry the whole book on the plane - have to save room for purchases out there. You can find information on shops online but the most info is in the book. I highly recommend it. Googling "quilt shops" in the area you are interested in works well though, too. If you do decide to make an outing you may want to try Loving Stitches in Fayetteville, NC. Its about an hour drive from Raleigh but I think you would enjoy it :D Here is their web address www.lovingstitches.net its a nice fairly new stand along building with plenty of space. Sarah
