The fabric there is always fun, but a friend of mine had some and it was very stiff even after she washed it.
Have you quilted with IKEA fabric or used it for other things?

The fabric at Ikea is heavy cotton, I've not bought it but have petted it at the store, it seems nice but would not blend with quilters cotton well I think it would just be off.
It is very bright, colorful, big prints mostly. Good for curtains and such.

Great storage items. Get a map of the store for short cuts to items you are interested in. Treat yourself to a cheap breakfast or lunch and enjoy the pervasive smell of cinnamon buns!

You must have - I was in the Tampa store in March while visiting my parents. It's even bigger than my Long Island store!!

It's good for Totes/bags, accessories. I've made pillow covers and table runners as well. It has a nice 'body' to it.

I have gotten 100% cotton that is quilting weight as well at Ikea. It isn't all canvas or decorator weight.
They have a great assortment. When we go to Orlando this fall I'm planning on making a trip there no matter what - granted I shudder at the thought of Orlando's tax rate...

Our Ikea has a limited quantity of fabric, more for home dec that quilting. The part I find interesting -- you cut your own yardage!!

I bought an Ikea drop leaf dinning table that I use for a sewing table. It is big enough to cut and sew on. Plus in the center are drawers for storage. I, too, like that store.
