Ikea is even more dangerous than the LQS. Good for you! Have fun shopping.

Fabric seems to be mostly 59". Is this really a good deal?

They have some, not huge amounts but it's pretty inexpensive (as fabric goes) and 54" wide. Never used it but I think I'm going to try it this fall to make a "couch snuggler" quilt. I don't think you can buy it online.....though they show it in the catalog, I think you have to go to the store to buy it.

I bought a similar (or the same?) table and use it as our kitchen table but I love to sew on it since I don't have to worry about scratching it....it's laminate!

they always have an extensive clearance bin in the department at my store. I take the time to rummage and find such goodies!!!

I love the IKEA in Atlanta. They do have fabric. It's downstairs with all the other bedding. Very nice. I'm going back to get some to make pillows and drapes. All that I looked at was 100% cotton, and very nice.

well now that the secret of Ikea fabrics is out, I hope everyone has a chance to get to one and check it out! Enjoy!!

Love IKEA!!! Almost everything in my sewing room is from IKEA. Use the Expedit shelves for storage, got the table attachment. Even made my cutting table from 2 of the 4 X 4 cubes. Last purchase was more shelving for the bedroom next to my sewing room - more storage. My husband just shakes his head whenever he sees another IKEA empty box in front of the garage door.

IKEA fabric I've used for making pillows, placemats and cushions etc. IMO it would be too heavy for quilts. Maybe they have some new types ? I haven't been lately. WARNING - it's a Dangerous store !! DD also covered plain artist canvases for great inexpensive "art" for her new apt.
