If you visit one quilt shop ask for a list of others. I visited many shops in Myrtle Beach last winter. At each store I purchased a couple of fat quarters and am making what I call my traveling quilt. I will post a picture. It is a grandmother garden paper piecing by hand

There is one shop I really enjoyed. Accent Sewing in Murrells Inlet,SC. The store has doubled in size and so has the fabric.

We paid a visit there a couple weeks ago. There was one listed in Pawleys Island, but when we got there it was gone. Evidently out of business. I didn't have a chance to go to Quilting in the Carolina's this year, but last year I too dropped a good $100. You will like that one!
I actually talked to the gentleman who used to own that shop, while just on my trip to NC, with his wife and it closed due to family illness. They just do quilt shows now. |
