In August I will be making my annual trek to S.C. for a much needed vacation. Do you know of any quilt shops in or around the Myrtle Beach/Pawley's Island area. My DH doesn't mind taking day trips if it's a non-golf day (rainy).

When I was there in June I went to Quilting in the Carolinas. I spent $125 before I left and only went in to buy a few fat quarters :)

Wishing you many "rainy" days :)

We paid a visit there a couple weeks ago. There was one listed in Pawleys Island, but when we got there it was gone. Evidently out of business. I didn't have a chance to go to Quilting in the Carolina's this year, but last year I too dropped a good $100. You will like that one!

It's to easy to drop a ton of bucks in a quilt shop but I do like that one. One thing I forgot to mention, when you get there the outside of the building will say "Sewing in the Carolinas" the name of the store is small and easy to miss.

Plus when you get there, you won't believe you are there because it doesn't look all flattering - I thought out GPS was nuts, but it's there.

Visiting in Myrtle Beach visit: Quilters Cottage Inc, Murrells Inlet, SC, Murrells Inlet, SC: 843.651.4004. located very near St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Sew Many Common Threads,2290 Hwy 544, Conway,SC 843-347-6000.
Both of these shops are great the people working there are so helpful. I highly recommend either one. As for the other named shop that someone has visit, I do not shop there. Very few locals will shop there. PM me I will tell you the reason. Also PM me as to when you are coming and I will be glad to show you the shops. Then we can meet.

Sorry I almost forgot to mention Accent Sewing, 4410 Hwy 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC 843-357-8221. Located in the same shopping center as Bi-Lo grocery Chick-fil-le, Arby's.
Nice shop, lots of fabric

Thank you all for the quilt shop suggestions, I can't wait to visit them. I save up for a rainy day (I think I'm the only person who wants a rainy day on vacation), and spend it all in a quilt shop, what a way to go!!! :)
