I noticed that alot of you are talking about the quilt shops. I would love to put a map together for all of us. If you would like, PM me the name and address of your fav shops and I will put a map together. I have started one with some that I know of or shop at. Feel free to share with friends!

Just found this today. I am from Oskaloosa, Iowa. Born and raised in MN, but married an Iowa farmer.

I might add that we now have a quilt shop in Oskaloosa called Puppy Love Quilting. It is located on Hwy. 92, which is the main street running east/west through Oskaloosa. It is across from Pizza Ranch, on the east side of Oskaloosa.

Do they still have the cable car ride in Dubuque? I think it was Dubuque. In 1959, it was 5 cents up and 5 cents down.

Just found this too! Born and raised Des Moines lived in SW Florida for 3 years, now in Grimes which is now a suburb NW side of Johnston which is the suburb to Des Moines.
I shop Creekside in Clive, The Quilt Block in West Des Moines, The Cupboard in Ankeny. I really like The Quilt Connection in Ames.
Rhonda-I have tons of family in Mt. P.. Cousins who were raised in Salem. I spent some time in Salem during the Summers. I bet you might know some of my family.

Hi from Hardin County. I've lived in Iowa all my life. I'm obsessed with quilting. Planning a trip to MSQC in Aug. with my sister and her two daughters. Jenny will be there. Love this site and all the great people. If only the rest of the world could be like quilters.

I see this is an old thread, but full of places I know. :) I lived in Ames and a small town nearby until we moved to Wisconsin a few years ago. I miss Iowa.

Go Cyclones!

I am from Fort Dodge in central Iowa. I have been on this board for several years and this is the first time I have noticed this thread! How exciting to see who is from Iowa! Hope more will see this and keep adding to the list of Iowa people!
