Love Shipsy. I was there for the Pajama Sale the first weekend of February. Great fun. You must be in pajamas to get your fabric on sale, so all these women arrive in pj's and some in hair curlers.

Not taking any classes this year, but hope to get over there one day. :thumbup:

I was there yesterday too! The Dh and I had a great time and yes I did buy some fabric!

Be sure to check out Lolly's basement shop. They have a boat down there filled to the brim with fat quarters. I LOVE going through there. I only get to Shipshewana once or twice a year, but never leave Lolly's with less than 100 fat quarters from the boat. All the fabric in the basement shop is discounted too. I'm thinking it's discontinued fabric.

I also love Yoder's Department store in Shipshewana. They have a very nice selection of fabric and patterns.

Did you make it over to Yoders too? I seem to buy more fabric there then Lollys.
During the summer I go on a day trip on a bus from the area and do the Flea Mrkt too if I have time! He goes 3 times during the summer time!

This festival is in June- My cousins and our spouses are going. Sounds like a lot of fun to me !!!

I'm going to the quilt festival in June! I'm going on a bus with my guild of about 50 other fabric crazy women. Can't wait, counting days already. Thanks for the shopping tips.

Next time you visit Shipshewana area take a group of quilters with you. There is a great quilt retreat facility at Bright Morning Star Bread and Breakfast. Check the web site. Then you can quilt and shop until you drop.

Lolly's is the best shop I've ever gone to....and Yoder's is pretty wonderful too! Love going there!
