I think you sent this to the wrong person. Sorry

These meetings are for all Georgians who are members of the QB, but if you would like to be taken off the mailing list I'll be happy to do so, but I wish you would consider coming, they are lots of fun!

Are we supposed to be getting e-mail notices about new comments on threads we are interested in or have commented on? If so, I haven't gotten notice since I posted my comment.

For any one with accessibility issues: as long as you park in the lower parking are there are NO steps to access the area we will be meeting in nor are there any steps to the bathroom, good news:)

JEM65 11-20-2011 01:33 PM

The January dates work better for me personally. Please keep us updated on decisions made. Thanks!

mom2eight 11-20-2011 04:43 PM

Will we be getting updates as this is planned? I need at least a few days notice to find babysitters!! I would love to come, and I will drag along my best friend fktls501

Ladymurphy 11-20-2011 06:13 PM

Dates for meeting

January would work better for me.

I would sure like some help with this new board set up if anyone has become knowledgeable with it. This might be a discussion topic.

Thanks Patti

georgiagirlquilting 11-20-2011 10:41 PM

Hi all!
At this time, I am available for any of the dates in January.
Thanks for the invite! Can't wait to meet everyone!

yes, indeed! I plan to allow a couple more days for answers as to best timing, but it's looking like either of the Jan days is going to be better for the majority. I'll probably wait til after Thanksgiving to give the majority of folks a chance to see this, then will pick the day most convenient for the most that have responded. I hope to see lots of you there:)

EllenwoodGa 12-02-2011 06:34 PM

I am interested. Dec. 31, is not good for me.

Vicki W 12-02-2011 06:47 PM

January is better for me as well. I am sorry to have missed November but we were dealing with My DBIL's illness. We lost him 23 Nov and I had to be there for DH, He has had a bad year, losing Mom in July and now brother.

Your so welcome Chris. We did have a great time at Scarlet Thread, looking forward to the next get together.

All the proposed dates are good for me. Yes, GrannyJan, we met at A Scarlet Thread on the 4th and had a lovely time with shopping/eating/show&tell and a pineapple ruler presentation. Weren't many of us but I believe all there enjoyed themselves. And Mona figured out my stitch length selector problem on my new machine! Very much appreciated, used the machine to paper-piece the next weekend at a guild sew-in. Thanks again Mona!

Dolly's sister 12-03-2011 07:10 PM

January dates work best for me also, just let us know which one. Thanks.

scoobertina 12-04-2011 03:30 PM

I will try to make it if it is in January.

greenini 12-07-2011 12:40 PM

Ok, every one, here's the scoop: the date at Intown Quilter's is 1/28/12...seems so odd that it's almost 2012 doesn't it? I'm gonna assume she'll let us in early, I will let everyone know when that's confirmed. Who thinks they'll be able to make it?

olebat 12-07-2011 01:09 PM

I'm a go. !

Now there's two of us:)

laalaaquilter 12-09-2011 04:32 PM

I plan to join you. I started a new job last week for a two month project that will be near completion at that date so if I'm required to work overtime that weekend I'll have to miss out but otherwise, I'll be there ;-)

DeneK 12-10-2011 09:03 AM

I plan to attend... Looking forward to it.

greenini 12-10-2011 10:55 AM

Everybody: what time do we want to start, and what do you want to bring for food:)

Suzi P 12-12-2011 05:03 PM

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and to sharing the story of barn quilts with you! Happy Holidays; I'll see you in January.

EllenwoodGa 12-13-2011 01:32 PM

Sorry, for such a late entry. I'm looking forward to attending. I've never been to one of these meetings, so I need to know everything I need to bring such as food and projects. Will everyone work on their different projects or what? I can't wait on the fun to start.

greenini 12-13-2011 04:31 PM

It's a lunch potluck, post what you want to bring so we get something other then desserts:), time please tell me what time you can make it to Decatur, there will be about a half hour presentation about barn quilts, other then that the last ones have been a lot of show n tell by members, a lot of shopping, some demonstrations by the shop owners (we'll see about that) and if any members want to demonstrate techniques, please volunteer! It's our meet up so help make it a success!
Jo

Dakota Rose 12-14-2011 12:04 PM

Hope to be there. Am not getting notice of updates in threads I am following. Is it just me or am I doing something wrong on the new board?

shortstuff 12-19-2011 08:56 AM

Who made the chicken salad at the last meet and greet at A Scarlet Thread? Would love to have the recipe please PM me

imaquilternga 12-27-2011 08:22 AM

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply but have been having computer problems. I'll be there and will hopefully bring at least 2 others with me. Will bring chicken salad, chips and dip. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! Thanks for arranging this

DeneK 12-28-2011 04:09 PM

Would it be possible to post a list of the food promised so that we can better decide what to bring?
Was there any further information about the times for start/finish?

thx

greenini 12-29-2011 10:56 AM

Why don't we say 11 AM unless that doesn't work for folks: over the holidays this thread kind of got lost I think! I will bring brownies. We will be having a presentation of barn quits from Suzi P. If any of the rest of you have a specialty, let us know....

Dakota Rose 12-29-2011 01:34 PM

Is there a date yet? I don't seem to be getting the notifications like before and still am having trouble finding things on this new format. Is there a new thread with updated info? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Dakota Rose 12-30-2011 08:16 AM

Sorry about previous post. I found the date and will be there. Will check back for the food list and what to bring.

laalaaquilter 12-30-2011 04:09 PM

So 1/28 at 11AM. I'll bring the veggie tray and dip.

LindaMRB 01-15-2012 03:35 PM

I'm sorry, I totally missed out on this thread. But with a good excuse: I lost my job the week of November 14-18th.
I was kept on until the end of December, and now have been hired to do some freelance, but I have been totally bummed, looking for other work and taking care of all the other junk that goes with being unemployed and needing health insurance.
I have never been let go from a job, and in fact have never even had to submit my resume! I always went from one job to another and through friends/coworkers. Or just walking in the door and applying.
I have a huge learning curve to slog through!

I just saw that it is the 28th at 11:00am. Will NOT be spending any money but would love to look and visit.

Am I lost or what?
Just tell me, I can take it!

Karen Collins 01-16-2012 07:53 AM

Hi, So sorry for my absence! Would love to go on the 28th! What would be the time frame? My daughter has a birthday on this date, will probably celebrate that night. I appreciate any further information and apologize for my absence! Sincerely, Karen Collins

What are you looking for? I've been on a short term assignment since 11/30/11 that I'm hoping will become permanent and would love to spread your resume amongst my contacts. See you on the 28th and we'll talk.

greenini 01-20-2012 04:42 PM

Folks,
I just got an email from Sarah at Intown Quilters. She and I had a misunderstanding about dates...can we get a confirmation of how many are planning on coming???? I get about 11, can I get an update? Thanks,
Jo

DeneK 01-20-2012 06:35 PM

I am planning to be there. Not sure what to bring, but I will bring something -- maybe cheese ball with crackers.

Dene

olebat 01-22-2012 01:55 AM

Count me in. May have a guest, but that is not a sure thing. Just had the second cataract procedure, all seems to be going well. Focus is still off, but should be improved by the end of the week.

laalaaquilter 01-22-2012 09:13 AM

If we are still looking at Saturday 28th, I am still planning to attend.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:32 PM.
