Quilt of Belonging Exhibition

This exhibition is in a town near me and Mr. Watson and I went today. It was really awe-inspiring. 120' long, 10' high and 263 blocks from all over Canada.

This is part of the intro from the pamphlet....

"Quilt of Belonging is a collaborative textile art project on a national scale that is comprised of 263 blocks representing Canada's main Indigenous groups and every world nation who are all part of Canada's social fabric. Each of these groups were invited to produce a piece of fibre art, with the textiles, techniques and symbols that represent their cultural beauty....The Quilt of Belonging is an invitation for all cultures to celebrate their common humanity and find their unique place in the Canadian mosaic."

Really sorry the pictures are sideways.....The last one is right side up and is a picture of the front of the brochure so you can see what the whole thing looks like.

PS...it's a gov't publication...there's no copyright on it. I asked the lady there if it was OK.
