It was really exciting to read her business card and recognize her name!! I had no idea I would end up at her home for a garage sale!

And yep- I got a lot of good bargains today! Yardage of fabric I can use and a book all for 16.00 big ones! I scored and so excited about it! Love bargains- as Faith can be my witness too! Although our Bend garage/estate sales she seemed to score the best!
Yep Cindy is a Horse trader at heart for sure... ;) But in a good way..
Glad you were able to hit some garage sales and get some goodies too.
I picked up one of those Double Diamond rulers yesterday for $21.95 at a quilt shop in Hillsboro with Karen and we also stopped by the Craft Warehouse to see what was left. Not much but we managed to find a few things.
It is Garage sale weekend at our apt. complex so feel free to stop by and buy all the stuff before I find something I like, LOLOL!!!!
    Have a great weekend all..

    Hi Guys:
Sounds like you are having great luck finding "bargains!" I have never done much garage sale activities but once in awhile I'll drive by and see something interesting. I did find a 12" x 24" Omni ruler for $1.00. Also go a zip lock bag of notions containing several packages (unopened) of Schmetz quilting and universal sewing machine needles; a new seam ripper, 4 spools (1000 yds) of expensive thread plus about a dozen spools of other thread including some cotton quilting thread; some elastic, snaps and a bunch of other small tools and misc. stuff. All this for 25 cents! I think I might have caught the "bug!"

Have a great and safe week end.

Way to go Feathers!!!! You must have the touch. ;)
I scored 2 antique clocks for hubby for letting me take his Baby(car) and 2 Antique tableclothes (Cindy and I were thinking a quilt made out of them) on the way back from Sisters on Sunday.
Think we may go hit some sales today if the weather holds..
Have an awesome weekend and report great deals you found ;)

    Hey Faith & Cindy:
I have a large collection of vintage tablecloths - you know the cotton kind with with bright floral designs, and even some themed ones with State attractions. Most of them were my Mom's, some I picked up at garage sales. I have been saving them forever - for a quilt, of course! I wondered how they would work for an Irish Chain w/white background?

    GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!

Congratulations to all of us for finding the bargains! Just think of all the money we saved so we can spend it somewhere else. Quiltingnonnie we saw the prettiest table cloths -all one piece --quilted. They were absolutely beautiful! I have pictures but they don't post as nice as the colorful quilts. Next time we get together I'll try to remember my camera. They were so unique and beautiful. You are very creative I'm sure you will come up with something very beautiful!

Way to go Charlee! Doesn't it feel so good when we find such treasures! 2 Doods picked up a older machine in La Pine the weekend we were there for the quilt show. I couldn't tell you what it was but she grew up sewing on one! I even commented on your collection of machines and would love to see them one day! By the time that happens you will have a museum set up! Congratulations on your new addition.

It's a cute 99K. The cabinet is still in pieces ready for a little refinishing. The machine needs some love too. Once it is cleaned and tuned I plan on putting it to good use.

Made it in just fine and Nope! he hasn't noticed. And what can he say? While I was away he purchased some sort of nailer/stapler thing to use with his air compressor. Like he needs more tools. And his was more $$ than my new toy. And mine is cuter!!
