Would love to have a retreat somewhere in Texas open to Quilters from other states.
I was thinking of having Barbara Oliver hartman come and teach her classes
Check her link:
http://barbaraoliverhartman.com/
She is willing to do 2 or 3 days of classes and teach her technique We will prpbably do 12 to 16 persons. Cost is ? will need to make more plans with her.
Just took a class with her today and she is wonderful!!!
Need to find a retreat house and discuss her travel calendar w/ her.
Any ideas for retreat houses Wimberly or where?????
Save your $$$$ and please give me feedback

Barbara is an old friend of mine from the 1980s at aa shop in Colleyville, TX. I've watched her grow and expand her viewpoint and become an amazing teacher/lecturer. I've changed names since we last saw each other so I doubt she'd know me now, but I encourage those who can to attend her workshop. You'll enjoy her! Wish I could be there!

There is a retreat house located in Milford, Texas called Our House In Milford. It holds around 33 quilters. They are on the internet with all their information. This is a little far from San Antonio, just past Hillsboro on the way to Dallas off I35 but is a really nice facility with all meals included in the price. You just eat, sleep, and more importantly sew to your heart's content.

Camp Waldemar? It is on the Guadalupe, leaving Kerrville going towards Hunt or Ingram. Been a while since I attended any workshops there. It is heavenly, food is great. But $$-would have to inquire.

When you find a place, let me know. I would love to take a class with her. Which class did you take? The kaleidoscope class sounds interesting, as does the one on dying fabric. Maybe she could do 2 one day classes? Can do any month but May.

Here's a link to a place that has inns in Tyler and McKinney for $145 per person (not per night) for a Thur.-Sat. stay.
