DH and I have gone at least 5 times. Can't this year cause we're out west. We usually go north from Chattanooga Tennessee for at least 200 or 300 miles. We've brought home everything from "whatever are you going to do with that ratty old thing?" my $25 spectacularly used/loved heavy quilt from the 40's to watermelons, peaches, old blue bottles, antique coke memorbilia (sp?) and lots of great "junque". If you can make any part of this yard sale, go for it!

Living in Boyd county, we travel to Frankfort, KY (about 2 hours from home) where DH daughter lives and travel south from there. We love to navigate this each year, trouble is, we only make it 15-20miles of the 600+ scheduled. But there is only so much you can see in one day. I found a Featherweight there about three years ago. The most incredible day! Always good for quilt related goods and so much more.......

I went 2 years ago for the first time. I had a blast. My niece went with me. Was not quilting at the time so didnt think to look for material. Started in Gadsen Alabama and went with in 30 miles of Ohio state line. Was wore out by then, so headed back home to Florida. Ya gota go sometime if you have never been. Its just fun meeting new people while finding those treasures you cant live without.
