"Battingless" probably isn't a word, but I am wondering about a quilt without batting. I have seen some people post about this. I have seen a rag quilt made without batting, but, how do you or can you make a regular quilt without batting? If so, how? Thanks!!!

OOPS! I posted in wrong spot. Ignore this one - I'm moving it to main. Thanks!

If I want a light wt or summer quilt, I might put just a layer or two of muslin or flannel inside for batting or use fleece or flannel for the backing only.

Sometimes I just do flannel backing. Use this type of quilt in summer months. Quilting not as visable is the down side if you love your quilting.

You can use fleece on the back and it works very well. Warm too!

Sometimes I use an old blanket, just pin top to it and quilt. It makes it soft and warm also.

I put a flannel sheet on the back and tied it. Looks nice and it's warm.
