That's what I would suggest - a varigated thread in the hearts making heart shapes in an echo pattern, then stippling with brown thread in the brown areas. Let the hearts shine. It's a beautiful quilt even if the picture is dark. OK, I need to go find a piece of chocolate now. :lol:

A variegated brown thread would be nice. Or better yet: abrown/pink variegated thread!

Sorry but I have an obsessive personality. Quilt thought for the heart I found a picture on Quiltcreator.com via Facebook photos. The quilt is called The Emperor’s Garden. They echoed a lovely heart around the edge with a large daisy in the center. Adorable. My thought that the flower represents the growth of your daughter through your love. (Phew... I can officially let this go.) Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

What a beautiful quilt! Your DD will truly love & cherish it. As for quilting I would do a tight or dense fill on all of the dk areas out around the hearts. This will make the hearts just pop. In a dk brown thread.
