What a wonderful row from a wonderful idea.

I just wanted to share the first row of my "Hug" quilt with you. These blocks were all made by Boomerang swappers and sent to me without my knowledge as a thank you and as a way of saying "we care"-essentially a hug frome each of them from miles away :-). These blocks mean the world to me and I am thrilled to be able to start putting them together. I will hopefully have this quilt done in time for my possible one if not two brain surgeries for my IH/Chiari.
I found the fabric that I used for the sashing strips and just loved it as I felt it would help pull all of the blocks together since it had black, orange and yellow in it. The sashing fabric is directional though so I had to be meticulous in my cutting so it did not look wonky.
I love love this first row and I know I will love the rest.
So to all of you fabulous, wonderful and loving ladies who have sent me a block I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hugs
April

Beautiful...and a word of warning: If your loving husband lost my block again I am going to divorce him!

April your blocks surely looks lovely, I like the sashing it really goes very well with the blocks. I wish you the very best during your time of surgery and after, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Blessing Barb
