Found this on the side of the road traveling to the Redwood Forest. It was $20.00! and the funny part is my husband spotted it and turned around. I missed it entirely! It runs smooth as can be, it needs a light and new cords, and the case is in pretty bad shape, but I can fix all of those! If anyone knows how to tell if it's a Japanese 15 or 99 (I'm pretty sure it's one of them). It says made in Japan. Thanks for any help!

Looks like a 15 to me. The tension dial is on the face plate like mine.

So pretty! Can you find a number anywhere on it?

The badge on the front says "Super Deluxe Sewing Machine" and on the underside is the # 18577

I've tried looking up Super deluxe sewing machine but can't find a link to the company. I looked up several Singer 15's and it's similar but the wiring is a little different. It's not tragic if we can't trace it, I can still fix the wiring and light (with hubby's help) but it would be nice to have an approx. year and things like that. Thanks for your help :)
