"New" Sewing Room
#42
Thanks, everyone, for your kind and supportive comments. :-D I've gotten so much pleasure and inspiration looking at other quilters' spaces/studios, that I thought it only fair to let you see mine.
And, frankly, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Yes, it's small, and unfortunately I don't have much space to show off my own quilts. But everything is in one room, and I can pull out patterns and fabric, sit on the floor, and "make quilts" in my head until I'm ready to commit them to the machine.
Plus, now I can watch my favorite TV shows/movies while I sew! Pretty sweet!

The bookshelves are all from IKEA (the ever-dependable Billy). The TV cabinet is actually a closet insert from Home Depot. The top just has shelves and the bottom was meant to be for shoe storage, but works very well for FQs. And of course, the bed and drop-down table are from my husband's workroom.
I'd love to put doors on the bookshelves, but my storage containers stick out too far. Truth be told, I probably don't have enough room for doors, anyway, but they sure would look nice. We've got an entire wall of six tall birch Billys + glass doors filled with books in our living room, so I know how good they can look.
