I love this! You have done an beautiful job. I would like to do one something like it for my MIL in Assisted Care. She doesn't want anything, but hopefully, I can convince her she needs it! She is a dear and doesn't want me to go to any trouble. She is very frail but strong willed and has had three surgeries in less than two years with two falls to include one broken neck and one broken hip. She still just keeps on ticking I tell her like an "energizer bunny" She is 89.

Your quilt top is beautiful!!! As a nurse working on an Alzhiemers unit, SEW HIS NAME ON IT!!!! I cannot tell you how many families have brought gifts to their loved ones, not notified staff, and not put a name on it. We cannot identify anything as your loved one without this. Also, as an aside, you would be surprised how many of these patients cannot tell you who you are, but will display and emotional attachement to something from someone they love. I am sure he will love the quilt even if he can't communicate that to you.

What a spirit lifting quilt! I would never have chosen orange for the inside border, but it's perfect and the wine outer border is the perfect finish. Hope you will post a final pic when it's quilted.

I see the John Deere fabric! Put a big label on it so it stays with FIL through the laundry days and the wanderers who come into his room and fall in love with it.
