"Tourist Trap" A Hawiian scrappy
#1
I had posted the finished top to this a little while ago asking for quilting suggestions. Since people noted that it really won't show, except on the back - I thought it was a good opportunity to play around with different techniques. It was fun and I learned a lot.
Because I choose an old red blanket as batting and a light sheet as backing, the back looks almost like it has the chicken pox. But no mind. SIL doesn't care. I don't care. I'm glad to have another one done. tgif!
DH used to live in Hawaii and always said they could spot the tourists by the shirts they wear. Hence the name - "Tourist Trap".
I didn't get a pic of the label, but it's a mini quilt, attached into one of the pockets.
Materials - Skirts, shirts and scraps.
Pattern - none
batting - old blanket
backing - old sheet
total cost: about $10.00
