You can get it online or at a quilt store. I got mine from a quilt store. Its by Stitchin' Sisters called Snap Happy.

I stole my husbands tape measurer  I actually had to steal 2. I replaced them with a smaller hoping he won't notice  However, I've heard of people using the old metal blinds too.

I made one but I boxed the bottom and put regular straps on the top. It holds more and gets many compliments. And the 'snap' works just fine - if I don't overload the bag, that is!

I love making these. You can add trims to the outside too.
Found the best place to get the tape measures is at the dollar store. I also use a double layer of the measuring tape, put together round the ends a little, then use electrical tape wrapped around the ends.

Love snap bags! Made them in seveal sizes! and yes...Dollar store has great tape measures. DH wanted mine but not after I trimmed off 9".Just remember to tape the end so it won't retract into itself!

Really cute! I'm being silly now, but if you were to put googly eyes on each corner and add some eyebrows, you'd have "angry birds"!! LOL!

This bag is 7 1/2 X 6". No zipper. The metal measuring tape springs back so it stays closed that way. You can make them any size. A friend is making larger purses using the same pattern and putting a handle on them too. I haven't tried making bigger ones yet. I was trying to get my order done of these first. On the bigger ones she puts 2 measuring tapes together for added stability.
