not worried a bit --- i also have steps for people who are shorter than me to use when quilting that are not as high as her (platform)- she had a step-stool ladder to get up- and it was totally stable- we've had many kids since quilt their quilts with this (platform/dresser)- and have been checked out for safety.
this is kind of an old picture- i just happened to come across it and share it- she is now 15-
the only thing osha rules said the kids could not do was use a rotory cutter...they had to cut with scissors-or have an adult cut for them. this was taken in the sewing school almost 6 years ago....we've come a long way since then
