It' is a gorgeous quilt. As far a quilting it goes. Don't get too fancy. The top is very busy and you won't see it. A curvy cross hatching would work. Even just a simple meandering (stipple) in the center would work. I would probably to stitch in the ditch in the piano keys.

Though I started it about 10 years ago (give or a take a year!), I actually cranked out 90% of this in the last 2 and a half weeks.

Now I'm looking for ideas for quilting design. I've had some ideas- I know I don't want straight lines, definitely want curvy quilting of some sort- but nothing that I can settle on. Would be thankful for some suggestions! : )
If it were mine, I'd do a meandering stitch that won't detract from the beautiful combination of fabric.

Very nice. Now that you see how nice it's come out, aren't you sorry you waited so long? How about a fleur-de-lis design in each of the triangles. Or, loops and hearts (since for your husband bday/anniversary) would be sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful quilt! The quilting won't show up much against all the colors so a simple curvy all-over pattern might be your best bet.

In the corners you can put something unique in reference to his hobby. Just a beginner.
