18 months later

This quilt took me about 18 months to do. I knew what colors I wanted but finding what I had in mind was a challenge. After searching fabric shop within a 100 mile radius of me and going on line I found them one by one. The outside periwinkle border wasthe hardest to find. I think it's harder to make a quilt if you have certain fabrics and colors in mind and then start buying them one at a time. From now on I will buy all fabrics at the samt time.

Well worth the wait to find exactly the right fabric for each step!
I have a quilt in mind that I have been collecting fabrics for a couple of years. As my sense of what will work well together grows, I have added or subtracted ones that were in the 'original' plan. Decided I needed more variety in light/dark and larger/smaller print. But when it finally happens it will be much nicer than if I had just gone ahead then.
