Default 1998 scrappy pinwheel

I started quilting in 1998. This is something I started and put away because of how it wasn't working.

A few weeks ago while sorting scraps this popped out of a box and screamed at me to finish it.

The pile of blocks I found. They were all un sewn and put back together. I had used a heavy thread, crooked triangles, stretched blocks, missing point, etc. LOL. I re made them using the Bloc Loc ruler and I am very pleased with the results.

Which of the three do you like or any other ideas are greatly appreciated!

Thanks for looking.

What a neat-looking quilt! Love how you put it together.

I can't decide on the borders, but am leaning towards the border with small flowers. I think the big flowers (although pretty), draw your eye away from the pieced part.

That is really neat. I admire your perseverance. Either no border or a narrow solid color border so as not to detract from the rest of the quilt.

I like your quilt. The scrappiness and the pinwheel effect are wonderful. I am drawn to the large floral border.

Little pinwheels in a giant pinwheel ... very cute! Can't believe that you actually unsewed all of those blocks. In the end it looks like it was worth it. I am drawn to the big flower print but think it might be too busy and detract from the pinwheels .... unless you put that beautiful purple as a narrow border in first. Or just use the purple alone whichever works for the size and look you want.

Are you wanting to add borders to enlarge the quilt?

If you do not need it any larger, I would just leave it without borders.

If you do need to make it larger, I would go with a solid border and put a pinwheel in each corner. Or you could piece the border with a light and dark fabric to extend the pinwheels.

The floral fabrics are pretty, but detract from this quilt.

Do you really need a border??? Pinwheels and tha pattern they make are gorgeous on their own. Just my opinion.
