Thank you all...I'm sure am blushing.

This was my first attempt at free standing applique. The eyes have lots of little pieces in them and I think what makes them "come alive" is the tiny crystals that I used to give them sparkle. I did start with a photo that I blew up on my puter and traced onto freezer paper in sections. (monitor made a great light table) I first changed the photo to black and white to get the sections defined easily, then I changed it back to the original colors. It is small...finished at about 21" x 21"...just a small wallhanging.

Here is the pic that I started with....

I blew this up and cropped it for the wallhanging

That is wonderful! It looks like a picture. You are very talented! The stitching looks like fur and the eyes are amazing.
