Sorry, forgot to answer the batting question. The blue & yellow one has flannel in it and the second one has batting. I love the flannel, it doesn't really add "bulk" to it, but it does give it some density, which is probably a good thing for a table runner, so it doesn't blow off the table if it's windy out. I did the pinwheel one first and didn't have any flannel, that's why it has batting.

Just lovely--blue and yellow a favorite combo of mine, but really like the simplicity of the the cream pinwheels. Lucky mom!
