Did you ever have an idea that seemed great in your head, but when you got the pieces in front of you, nothing seemed to fit? Well, I need some help here ... please.

I'm working on a memory type wall hanging using some photos from my grandsons' recent baseball season. It is a 5 block by 7 block piece with a plain blue border. The photos will replace the inner blue square that you see in some of the blocks. My question is ... do I surround each photo with white, blue or continue the combination of fabric I am using with the other blocks.

Thanks for all your help ... I appreciate it so much!

    how big are the pics?
I would use another color other than blue to frame them
    maybe a black

I think a narrow solid blue border would help to 'frame' the pictures. The pictures may get 'lost' in the blocks with the lighter fabric - such as in the first one on the left.

I agree it should be another color. I was thinking a darker version of the tan/brown stitching on the baseballs.

Depending on the picture, it could totally blend into one of the backgrounds. The thin frame should be very narrow, just to frame the picture so it stands out. It wouldn't need to be to be more than 1/2".

I think if you framed your photos with a blue and then a white that would probably work, but only a narrow border. :):):)

i think it needs white to brighten it up around each 'memory' or block. it feels very conservative for a young person. then maybe a blue border.

Depends on the color of the photos when printed. You will really have to lay them out with the fabric. You want to enhance them not over power them. Hope this makes sense.
