    Default 2013 4-H quilt

After I retired, finally had time to sew and realized how much I am enjoying quilting. I made a quilt last year for a 4-H raffle in our county, naturally this year was expected to make another. I used the Yellow Brick Road pattern. It is quilted in the ditch and tied in the center of the 9 inch squares. The queen size is very generous at 90" by 100". My friend insisted I make the pillow shams to complete the outfit. The pattern and quilt went together fairly quickly compared to others I have worked on. Took only 2 months of sewing afternoons and a few evenings. Do not ask what my house looks like. I realize now, that I need to use a quilt wall to arrange squares as a few repeated too much. I am still learning, that is for sure.

I second that. Welcome to the board. Your quilt is beautiful and it's very generous of you to do this. I grew up in the 4-H and learned a lot during those years.

Beautiful quilt. I can see why they asked for another one. Thanks for sharing.

I really like that fabric line and have done one myself with it. I think yours is very, very pretty and looks so inviting. Congratulations on the finish and I predict that they will want one next year as well!!
