I think the ladies who actually MADE the quilt should take lots of pictures while it has the ribbon on it. The next time they are selling tickets for a raffle quilt, they can show their work is prize winning quality. Kind of sad that the raffle winner will get the ribbon rather the people who did the work.

I agree with what coachmatthewsvhs said. I'd see one and think that was my favorite but then I'd see the next picture. What talent!!! Can't even begin to imagine the amount of time the quilter put into the wholecloth. It was magnificent!! Can't say as I envy the judges with having to make the decision of who deserved which ribbon.

Very pretty pictures. I do agree with Tartan that the raffle quilt maker should get the ribbon rather than the winner.

Thank you for sharing. I am amazed at the array of talent and expression shown here. I have always loved the traditional and then I enjoyed the traditional patterns in more contemporary fabrics. Now the art form of quilting has reached new heights and I appreciate all of it. I am so happy to see so many used fiber and fabric in such creative ways. And you did a wonderful job of selecting your choices to show us. That show looked huge!

I am beyond WOW! What a grand display of beauty. Thank you for giving us this gift of viewing East Texas talent.
I live on the high plains (10 miles from Texas) and never get to go to quilt shows...this was a special treat for me.

Wow! Thanks for posting! Our LQS will no longer post pics of quilts from the show. The reason they stated was once the quilts are 'published' they can no longer be included in other shows. If they were to post them on their website, they're considered published.
    Go forth and sew!
