Wow, that is such a neat quilt! I did find a blog with this on it, but not sure it's the one you followed? http://quiltyfolk.blogspot.ca/2015/1...g-journey.html

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my daily circle quilt. Each square finished at 4", the circles were cut at 3" and appliqued on by using a small zig-zag stitch on my machine. I then did QAYG without sashing. Here is a close up of some of the blocks.

An explanation of some of the blocks - the nurse represents a visit to hospital, eggs - I had breakfast out, the sewing machine - my quilting group day, coffee cup - had coffee with friends, the purple fairy - played fairies that day with my granddaughter, the boat - went for a ride on the Manly ferry, the tools - we had a builder in that day doing some work.

I found this challenge very addictive and enjoyed having the opportunity to play with my scraps to find just the right fabric each day. I had all those fabrics in my stash and did not have to buy or beg for any.

I love this idea as a daily diary, but you could also use it by year LOL just make the circles larger. I had always wanted to leave as my legacy a quilt of my life and thought of using PP squares to symbolize events, but this would be an option. Yours is lovely and a real hierloom for generations. I would leave a key however in a pocket of the label to let others know why you made the decisions you did.............what fun.

This is a wonderful idea--meaningful and useful. It makes a pretty quilt that is also interesting.
