    It's just your average 9 patch block. But the pattern I bought comes with a clear square ruler. You tilt the ruler on the block and cut off the edges. If you look into the corner of my quilt you can kind of see it. It looks pretty cool when you put it all together!

    OooH I love that LC. But almost everything I see in purples I love. But then purple is my favorite color, and almost any shade in that family. You did great on both. I really like how you used your purple in the LC.

    I also want to know the width of the "logs" you used used in the log cabin quilt. I love the purple and this would match my bedroom paint.

    Initially the width of each log was 2.5" so I should have ended up with 2" logs after piecing. But once I quilted it they seemed to shorten up as I just measured them at 1 and 7/8". Weird eh?!
