great quilt, great job, so much time in piecing a quilt, and the pattern you chose was beautiful.
Lovely!

Great job on both the quilt and quilting. I have used mother nature's gifts numerous times for patterns. I have created my own maple leaf pantograph by tracing several different maple leaves in varying positions all connected with an easy swirl and loops. It is quicker for me than doing individual leaves and all the cutting of threads when you start and stop.

You definitely have a knack for it.

Good luck,
Sherryl

Oh yes I agree that connecting them would have been quicker and that was my original plan. But when I drew it out on paper I just liked the look better with each leaf separated. But I do really like the idea of linking them with swirls and loops to give them the "movement" of falling leaves. Additionally I ended up with some odd spacing between some of the leaves where I could have used swirls and loops for filler. I am learning something with every quilt.

It is a beautiful quilt and your stitching looks great. I have not tried stitching in the ditch yet. I guess I need a ruler...

With or without the ruler, I was out of the ditch a lot more then in it!  As I found the ruler so distracting and awkward I ditched it entirely and you can't tell which ditches had ruler and which didn't. Did that just sound like Dr. Suess?
