    3 quilts in a week

I've been off work since Dec 18 and have been having so much fun having all day / night to sew sew sew and more sewing!

I decided that this year I have to make more "complicated" quilts, BUT I'm not going to make them massive since I have also decided to abandon FMQ all together (it is the devil incarnate, I swear LOL)

Here's what I have been working on - I will be adding a 10-inch border all the way around it and using my embroidery machine to do a design

This one was lots of fun LOL

And this is the only one that is quilted - and then I broke my machine trying to clean it!

I am in love with the all orange one shown on top. Would love to find the pattern. May I ask the name or is it your own design.
Why in heaven's didn't I think of using my embroidery machine to quilt. I have been having a horrible time with FMQ and am bored with Stitch in the Ditch.

Although I've not started to learn FMQ I would like to learn it. It really takes time to learn how to do it. But once you get the hang of it, I heard it's really cool.

The fabric are terrific in your first class. Would never have chosen them but they work surprisingly great together.

Bravo! I bet you HAVE been loving the marathon sewing in your time off. I like all those, but my favorite is the second. I think the bright colors against black, with pops of lime green are really eye-catching.

I have been having a BLAST!!! I sent my dog to her best friend's for 10 days - she lives in the country and has 15 dogs. My dog LOVES being there! So I had 10 days of just me, the cat and the parrot to do nothing but quilt!

I just picked her up today, so won't have as much free time LOL But it was fun while it lasted!

Thanks for all the comments, I really love the first one as well! I might just keep that one!

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

They are all very pretty, and size isn't always the goal. You might want to check with a local infusion center. Chemo patients always seem to be cold when taking treatment. They might be very happy to have smaller quilts. Or even Project Linus. You can sew to your hearts content and make others happy too.
