oh WOW ! please tell me how you quilted these.. walking foot? freestyle.. ect?
have to learn to quilt not just around pieces as I have done for YEARS.

Both patterns had ideas for quilting which I really like since deciding how to quilt something is the hardest part for me. I used a walking foot and freestyle on both. I have found that if you just jump in at do it it's not as hard as you think!

I like the 2nd one too - I'm big on primary colors these days! Did you find the prairie points to be easy or difficult? I thought about putting them on my pinwheel quilt.

This was my first attempt with prairie points. If you don't mind ironing for long periods of time they aren't bad! The pattern said to quilt up to 1/2 inch from the edge then add the prairie points, i put them on then sewed top, back and batting together, turned then quilted the whole quilt. it worked ok for a small quilt like this, i don't know how it would work on a big one.

I made the 2nd quilt for the first great niece in my husband's family--she'll be 7 soon!! Did it in bright pastel colors since
we new she was a she!! Now there are 13 great nieces/nephew's in the family!!
